Joseph Swovick

Instructor for Accelerated Ballet

Joseph Swovick, grew up in the northeastern United States, first dancing tap and eventually jazz, ballet and modern, receiving scholarships in every dance studio he attended. He had extensive ballet training at Botsford School of Dance in Rochester, New York. More ballet training in Scranton, Pennsylvania at the Alexi Ranov School of Dance, dancing six days a week, two classes per day and studying with the Lehigh Valley Ballet Guild once a week. He attended Tiffany Falls Performing Arts Workshop in Pennsylvania during the summer months where he studied tap, jazz, modern, ballet and mime. Another ballet scholarship gave him the opportunity to study at the Jeoffrey School of Ballet in NYC. Later he toured with the dance company “Impact Productions” of Tulsa, Oklahoma dancing over 500 performances in 42 states and nine countries.

Mr. Swovick shows he has an extensive and varied background in dance and mime by additionally performing in Bet Shean and Jerusalem, Israel for the Feast of Tabernacles, dancing liturgical, interpretive, professional as well as, Israeli Folk Dance. His background also includes teaching ballet in Germany.

We are fortunate at Ballet White Mountains to benefit from his talent and passion for dance. He will be teaching in the new Accelerated Ballet program.  He looks forward to passing on his experience, passion, and knowledge to those participating in his classes.
